Job Description
The Estimator will be responsible for creating cost estimates and quotations for the manufacture of folding cartons and paper products. They will use their knowledge of the industry, manufacturing standards, and software to provide accurate and timely estimates to the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Creates quotes and estimates by request involving specifications
- Employs creative analysis for cost reduction and efficiencies to produce a potential order or line of business
- Maintain strong communication with management regarding incoming and ongoing projects
- Work with vendors and procurement to ensure lowest available and accurate pricing when providing final estimates
- Consolidate and analyze large amounts of data to make informed decisions
- Create estimates to determine final sales price
Skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Work independently with little to no supervision
- Proven problem solving skills
- Computer literate with CAD/CAM software knowledge
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in folding carton manufacturing industry
- EFI software experience a plus
