Job Description
The Flexo Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department. They should be an organized and proactive leader who is experienced in managing a printing environment, and knowledgeable in various types of packaging materials.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of the production or processing of printed materials.
- Monitor and manage overtime to ensure it is necessary and productive.
- Monitor operational data such as time, production, and cost to maintain a cost-efficient operation.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Work closely with press crews to improve processes and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with other supervisors/managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Handle employee problems, complaints, or grievances in collaboration with management or Human Resources.
- Attend pre-production meetings to identify potential problems and ensure all requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and other company policies by monitoring safety, housekeeping, and product safety practices.
- Monitor printed materials and equipment for defects or malfunctions and take necessary actions.
- Provide training on equipment operations and safety procedures to new hires and experienced employees.

Qualifications
- Must have wide web experience
- 5+ years’ flexographic printing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience within hands on in the packaging industry in a high volume, multi-shift, multi-site operation
