Job Description
The press operator works on their assigned shift running a 10 color, wide web, poly film, solvent based printing press, while maintaining safety and quality of the product.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to make-ready and run procedures as outlined by company protocols
- Conducts make-ready by installing anilox rollers, plates, inks, and dies into the proper stations, making necessary adjustments for optimal print quality
- Operate assigned Press
- Continuously monitor quality of printed products produced, before and after the order is completed
- Seek to maintain productivity and quality standards that reflect the company’s high standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and equipment on a daily basis
- Focuses on continuous improvement, quality, improved cycle times, safety, cost reductions, and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Experience in the operation of 10-color +W&H MIRAFLEX, NOVOFLEX and VISTAFLEX flexo presses.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Solid understanding of printing color theory
- In-lane plate cutting processes, rotary cutting and the production of paperboard folding cartons
Qualifications
- Strong makeready 3+ years experience on any wide web flexo press
- High school diploma or G.E.D
