Job Description
The General Manager is responsible for running day-to-day operations and guiding general business strategy. This position will lead a team of managers, supervisors, and indirect staff, coaching them to collaborate effectively to optimize production and reduce costs without sacrificing quality, tracking cash flow, and setting sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure production and labor standards are met at each production facility.
- Lead root cause and corrective action for all standards not hitting goals.
- Drive Lean Methodology processes and behavior for manufacturing operations.
- Responsible for timely and accurate production schedules for all production facilities.
- Responsible for manufacturing overhead rates and driving associated efficiencies.
- Responsible for the development of improvement plans for manufacturing sites to include automation and equipment improvements, actively demonstrating an ability to lead P&L and be results-oriented.
- Ensure adherence to production standard work/work instructions; work with managers and supervisors to develop and maintain proper training.
- Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations measured against objectives aligned with company goals.
- Responsible for environmental compliance to OSHA and company safety policies.
- Responsible for development and adherence to the annual department budget.

- Strong computer skills and proficiency in relevant software and systems.
Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years experience in a senior leadership role.
- Open to candidates with folding carton, rigid packaging or thermoforming experience.
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Full P&L responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Lean/Six Sigma certified and proven experience in process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies.
