Job Description
The Gravure Pressman will be responsible for producing high-quality printed material according to job specifications by setting up and operating the printing press and auxiliary equipment. They will ensure color consistency and maintain equipment and supplies inventory, as well as train and develop press crews.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain gravure printing press.
- Perform all set up tasks associated with the type of press operated, such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and perform checks for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register etc.
- Monitor critical color values and registration requirements on paper web.
- Review job specifications to determine the press setup.
- Report production results and maintain supplies inventory.
- Train and develop press crews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve press stops and downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing environments.
- Ability to work in a team-based setting and manage conflicts if needed.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in the print and packaging industry.
- Experience in the operation of, but not limited to, Bobst Champlain, Zerand, W&H, and Cerutti gravure presses.
