Job Description
The Maintenance Electrical Technician will be responsible for performing programming, troubleshooting and repairs on PLC's on plant equipment including offset, cutting, flexo and finishing presses, as well as performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery. They will report to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with other departments to minimize downtime and improve overall production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Extensive PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
- Perform programming, troubleshooting and repairs on PLC's on plant equipment including offset, cutting, flexo and finishing presses
- Perform preventive maintenance programming
- PLC control logix includes: Siemens, Allan Bradley, and Roxroth and others
- Perform electrical preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery
- Perform inspections and document results for building, grounds, installed fire systems, hazardous waste holding areas and emergency lighting systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
- Maintain a trouble call or work order log
- Minimize downtime of critical production equipment
- Research, track delivery of and order required parts
- Maintain the appearance of the facility
Skills
- Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Fast-paced manufacturing experience
- Experience with PLC control logix including Siemens, Allan Bradley, and Roxroth and others
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Qualifications
- 4-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance
- Electrician’s License preferred and/or Electrical Degree / certifications
- Must be able to read and understand electrical prints
- Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings
- Must be able to work independently
