Job Description

The Sales Representative will work to understand the needs of internal and external clients and develop and maintain business solutions with current customers. The role will be responsible for meeting established sales goals in the folding carton industry.

Responsibilities
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, from various sources such as newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, and internet websites
  • Maintains and develops relationships with existing customers through meetings, telephone calls, and email communication
  • Assists clients in evaluating their current and future needs, and provides solutions to meet those needs
  • Develops and delivers presentations and conducts facility tours
  • Coordinates customer training and assists in developing and implementing the contract process
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts
  • Works with the customer service department to ensure customer expectations are met
  • Maintains a sales contact database and updates regularly
  • Investigates and resolves customer issues or complaints
  • Gathers market and customer information and stays up-to-date on industry trends
  • Negotiates pricing, delivery, and specifications with customers
  • Advises on upcoming product developments and special promotions
  • Keeps in communication with suppliers to track the progress of orders
  • Records sales and order information and regularly reviews own performance to meet or exceed targets
  • Understands customer needs and provides solutions to meet those needs
  • Provides accurate cost calculations and quotations to customers

Qualifications
  • Must have 3 years of business to business sales experience and worked within folding carton industry within last year
  • Can be based anywhere in Northeast
  • High School diploma or GED required, BA/BS preferred
  • A valid US driver's license
